📸 What to Upload
Do:
- Upload objects you've personally spotted in public spaces — sidewalks, curbs, communal areas
- Upload clear, honest photos that show the object's real condition
Don't:
- Upload items from private property
- Tag items that are clearly still in use — parked bikes, potted plants, outdoor furniture that's arranged, not dumped
- Upload hazardous or illegal materials
- Spam the map — if you've already uploaded an object, don't re-upload it just to refresh it
🔄 Status Update Etiquette
Status updates are only useful if they're accurate. The community depends on them.
- Mark an object Collected only if you personally took it, or you physically verified it's gone
- Mark an object Disappeared only if you've checked and it's genuinely no longer there
- Mark Available again only if you've verified the object is still present
- Don't use status changes to game the system — we log all updates
Repeated inaccurate status changes may result in account ban.
✏️ Corrections & Quality Control
Corrections help keep listings honest. Use them thoughtfully.
- Submit a correction only if you've actually seen the object and the category or material is genuinely wrong
- Don't submit corrections that you know to be inaccurate
- "This isn't a real object" is for when the AI has misidentified the object entirely — not for minor disagreements
Submitting false corrections is an abuse of the system and will be banned.
⚠️ Safety & Legal Responsibilities
The app doesn't verify ownership. You're responsible for your own judgment.
- Always check that an object is genuinely abandoned before taking it — look for "free" signs or clear indicators it's available
- Don't take items from private property, even if they look unused
- Check your local laws — scavenging and salvage rules vary by city and country
- The app and its community cannot be held responsible for ownership disputes, injuries, or legal consequences arising from pickups
🚩 Reporting & Enforcement
If something looks wrong, use the Report button.
- We will manually verify reports and hide objects that violate our guidelines
- Admins review flagged content within 24–48 hours
- Accounts that repeatedly violate these guidelines will be banned
These guidelines exist to protect the community — not to get in your way.
When in doubt, ask yourself: "Would I want someone to upload this?" If yes, go for it.
